    Great upgrade for an old PC

    I have an old office PC with Asus M2N-VM DVI motherboard -- upgraded it to about the power of my laptop with this processor. Very quick shipment and overall great handling! The processor works fine already couple of weeks. I even did not have to reinstall linux on the PC -- just swapped the process underneath it :) later I will reinstall it anyway. Only 1 thing to notice: check the BIOS version on your motherboard first. And upgrade it if needed. On my Asus motherboard this processor requires 0603 minimum (check on cpu-upgrade [dot] com) -- I had to upgrade the BIOS before installing the new processor. But forgot to do so. And on power on the motherboard would blink the leds on keyboard and spin all fans at normal speeds without proceeding to anything.

    Great upgrade from a dual core Athlon

    I upgraded from a dual core Athlon X2 4450. Installation was very easy and took just a few minutes. Now my office PC is much snappier, no lag anymore while multitasking. CPU temps are surprisingly low. No reason to upgrade to a modern platform just yet. Thanks to the seller for great packaging and fast shipping.

    Good processor!

    My old processor is the AMD Athlon 5200+, now it's a very slow CPU in 2017, and I decided to change this processor to AMD Phenom X4 9650 2.3 GHz Quad-Core, because my motherboard ASUS M2N-X PLUS supports this processor . The Internet browser works very well with it, the load does not exceed 50%, if you want to open it completely, then you need more memory. In general, I am very pleased with these processors, I recommend to all who want to extend the life of the old computer.
