As Showtime productions go, this one probably rides slightly above the line. Average mystery, average development, average denouement. What it does boast is a better-than-average cast. The gorgeous Hispanic actress Rachel Ticotin is along for the ride as a reporter, Lou Diamond Phillips is fairly convincing as the morally compromised hero, and it's nice to see the well-preserved Rita Moreno hanging in there to give a little touch of class (something in which the modern world of film is sadly deficient). If you're a fan of any of the actors involved, as I am of Ticotin, it's worth at least one watch.
