The design is simple, so nothing stands between you and your first cup. The Grinder holds up to 12 oz. of coffee beans in a UV-blocking hopper so your coffee tastes fresh. Stainless-steel conical burrs create uniform grounds for optimal flavor.
A Really Good Coffee Grinder (perhaps not for espresso)
This grinds coffee beans really well! I suspect that it doesn't grind coffee quite well enough for picky espresso fans, but it's fairly quiet, very consistent and easy to adjust to the desired grind. I also like the grinds catch basin, it's stainless steel, so it doesn't get electrically charged and scatter grounds every time you take the container from the grinder.
I really like this coffee grinder. It has settings that are very specific (perfect for grinding espresso beans the way I want. Also, it is the perfect size for me. (I did have to watch a You-Tube tutorial before my first attempt, but I think it was just me being dense.). Anyway, I do love it.
Why do we vary both volume of beans and grinding time?
I wish the grinder would grind all the beans I put into it, then stop. Instead, It grinds for the length of time I set. This either continues grinding after all beans are exhausted or stops and leaves beans in the hopper. Unless I invert the machine and tip them back into my sack of beans, they will remain at room temperature, losing freshness.
