One of them had a Roomba that doesn't work (shuts down after 5 seconds with an error) and the other has a base with obvious physical issues (doesn't sit flat on the floor). Customer service has been helpful, but it's been hours of time and energy for products that are sold as usable and verified. Now I'm waiting at least a week for an out-of-stock cleaning module I'll have to replace myself. Not a good experience!

Each time I call they promise a replacement - which never comes. iRobot reps promise to “email the warehouse” but each time there is another reason the warehouse has not sent a replacement. Now they say they are out of stock. But the eBay page shows units which can be delivered in three days. And while waiting for the *first* promised replacement unit the return window closed. IRobot said it has a 90 day replacement policy - hasn’t worked for us.

We really like it. I have a dog with long hair (Golden Retriever) and was wondering if the hair would cause a problem, but that was not an issue. But sometimes it would gets hung up on my recliner, and this morning it emptied its dust collector 2 times within 10 mins after starting. 4 days ago, after it vacuumed the last time, I made sure the dust bag in the bin was not full, which there was lots of room, yet. I guess it just takes getting used to. It is also nice that I can control with my android cell phone, outside its weekly schedule that I programed what days and start times, to vacuum. All in all, we are very happy with it.

Robot vacuum made chore harder, not easier
I was very optimistic about a Roomba model with auto-dirt emptying - I thought the brand was a top performer. In actuality, the performance was awful - the vacuum kept on getting stuck - on the entrance to bathrooms, on 1” high piano bench legs - causing me to have to get up & clear the jam. I returned the vacuum.

I love my iRoomba.... Anyone contemplating buying one shouldn't hesitate ..... It's the best money I've spent in a really long time! I love my iRoomba - the suction is great, the auto-emptying feature is awesome, it's fairly quite and my floors & carpets have never looked so good! Mine chases the dogs.
My new vacuum to a while to learn the rooms, read smart maps. I have dogs so dog hair is a given. I started with 3 times a day and now I am early morning and mid afternoon. The vacuum can have problems with higher thresholds, normal or lower are fine. Overall I am totally satisfied. It is a nice upgrade from my previous Roomba.

Amazing
It is super cliché that everyone on here has been saying that they should’ve gotten one years ago… But it is so accurate. I wouldn’t recommend this product to do 100% of your sweeping and vacuuming… But it is reliable to maintain rather clean floors. We have solid ceramic floor throughout our entire house two kids and two dogs and stuff just gets on the floor. Whether it be dirt or dust crumbs what have you… You feel like you have to wear socks all the time to keep it from getting stuck to your feet. Not anymore! It really does maintain a very clean house. I feel like it also urges me and the kids to have their toys and dirty clothes and anything else that might be scattered around the house picked up off of the floor so the rumba can do its job. So on top of it keeping my floor clean it makes me maintain a tidy house. I am in love with this product and would recommend it to anybody. It works exactly as described and makes all of our lives a whole lot easier!
