Excellent live trap.. super easy to set.. heavy duty mesh wire...highly recommend this trap... glue traps should be banned.. the animals tails get stuck in it or maybe just a foot.. rats outsmart the snap traps.. caught the little guy 1st nite... released him at the base of the hills.. just wanted him out from under my house...

Does not work.
Trap is solidly built but poor trigger design and a rubbery green powder coat render it useless to anything smaller than a large rat or squirrel. Caught a wood rat with a different trap and put it in this one to see if it actually worked, and the rat was able to sit comfortably ON the set trigger plate! The linkage from the plate to the latch is poorly designed and sloppily executed. Disappointing, considering this trap costs as much as the Havahart brand.

great hunting
i bought this trap because it was small. 5x5 for the first 3 days i caught 3 squirrels from my overhangs. fun to catch and release them 4 miles away .. i have one more squirrel up their and expect to catch him tonight ,,,oh use peanut butter for bait,,,,lol good hunting

Can’t get it work and I’m not new to this type of trap
Doesn’t work. Small hook either latches to wire cage so that trap doesn’t work or(with tools) it grabs small bushing that rolls so that trap doesn’t work. I had one like it that was stolen. Very similar design that was very functional. This one isn’t.

Tough
The cage is the perfect size that I need. The only thing is that it doesn't want to stay open. The door is a bit stiff and slams closed almost as soon as its put down. It takes a bit of pressure to get it just right. To me, it seems, its just a bit off . A little finagling and after awhile it'll stay open for a bit but then it slams closed again. Patients is needed to get it right. Other than messing with it for awhile, its an ok product. JW
