Nice kit - Great basis for additional detailing
I had previously built the Atlantis DC-9, that was produced using the old Aurora molds, as is this '727. Although the details of that plane were vastly simplified for for younger modelers (with no wheel wells, etc.), it was fairly straightforward to add those features. My plane won "Best Airliner" at the local show, and second place at the National show, so it is certainly possible to render a very good representation of the subject using an Aurora kit as a base. The Boeing 727 kit is in 1/96 scale, making it one of the largest '727 kits available today. Although the details are simplified as in the DC-9, the shape and proportions are excellent, and the molding is crisp without any sink marks and very little flash. The decals are simply beautiful, and if the earlier DC-9 is any guide, they will be robust and conform well when applied. I am looking forward to building this new offering from Atlantis, and I recommend it for modelers of all skill levels.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
