      Still excellent and entertaining over 50 years on

      Putting aside the fact that this series was first aired over 50 years ago, they are still very entertaining. The chemistry between Steed and Mrs. Peel makes these worth watching. There's often a bit of tongue and cheek humor, but the plot lines are good enough to carry it through. You need to keep in mind that this is a bit of a time capsule of a different era. Mrs. Peel was always more than a beautiful woman with tons of appeal. And even in a genre that probably had great appeal for adolescents, Mrs. Peel was always more than eye-candy. One surprise was that I enjoyed watching these old episodes even more than expected. They're still very, very good!

      All Emma Peel episodes! Seriously?

      This is an amazing set! The B/W and color episodes are are in separate, 8 disc cases, with an outer sleeve. Only minor gripe, the U.S "chessboard". intros to the B/W episodes are not included, since videos are sourced from GB originals. The "champagne" intros to the color episodes are included. Enjoy!

      Box set in excellent condition (item was advertised as used) even though the DVD discs were not cellophane enclosed, not one smudge on any disc, and I think I was given an awesome deal...

      Bargain Avengers DVD collection

      The Avengers was an outstanding spy series from the ‘60s that I loved watching as a kid. Now, to watch it again with Diana Rigg is a walk down memory lane. The series can be found on net streaming, but it is now in parts, on a pay channel or, if free, riddled with commercials. The 50+ episodes spanning 5 years on DVD in mostly B&W is a steal at $19!!!
