Great PEX Ring Crimp tool.
Great tool for doing PEX Ring crimping.Used this on a Bathroom Remodeling job and it worked perfectly on 3/4" and 1/2" piping. Did not have 1" pipe to try the 1". Worked fast and easily. Not a single bad Crimp. The 3/8" jaws are not included and the documentation on the box and instructions make this very clear. The only concern is that the tool will start working when the switch is pressed. Need to make sure not to touch the switch until ready. The crimped ring sometimes sticks in the jaws. Be sure to give a little wiggle before opening the crimp jaws. These problems are minor compared to the speed and ease of use. Not complete
I have used this too before. Only problem i have is that it did not include the 2 collet sets to crimp 1/2" and 3/4". The description said "Tool Only". But the manufacturer describes it the same way. and it includes the collet sets. I was expecting to receive them. I have had a really hard time trying to find a place that will sell them. Always works, doesn't need much space, easy to change sizes
Works well and allows access without needing the wide space for handles like a manual crimper - and for not a lot more than the cost of a manual unit. Beware this is also much stronger than a manual unit and will close no matter what. I ruined a couple of connections by not giving the jaws enough space to close so they destroyed the ring rather than crimping. I also like the very easy jaw size change. No wrench required to switch between crimp sizes. The only improvement I can think of would be to add a jaw size holder to the tool so the jaw size adaptors do not need to be in a separate bag.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
