    OK, but requires experience and finesse

    I typically like OTC tools, but they can be a hit or miss. I purchased this specifically to remove an inner bearing race stuck on a gearbox main shaft, and the small separator worked great. Another tech then used the larger separator to remove a race stuck on a wheel hub, also great. A third, less experienced tech then used it to remove a bushing from a control arm, resulting in one bent and another broken puller shaft. The separator also nick and deform easily when load is not applied correctly. It's also smaller than most I've used, but that's also why I purchased it for gearbox use. In conclusion, it's a good tool when used by a trained tech for exactly It's purpose, but will fail quickly when subjected to misuse such as the puller not even when load is applied. I've used much heavier ...
