    IT'S ALIVE! MY ALIENWARE X51 3.0GHZ i5-2320

    I was plague by crashes with the Nvidia GTX 550 Ti graphics card after upgrading and appeared that many owners were experiencing the same issue’s that I was. This was evident via the forums that I searched. There were different work arounds and suggestions offered as well as an assortment of driver’s to try but all attempts to utilize this graphics card were futile and very frustrating. The crashes consisted of completely freezing the GPU (while the rest of the computer was still running because I could still hear my music). Then I would be forced to do hard reboot. I did a build for the son of a neighbor of mine and he had purchased EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5. I tested his card in my Alienware x51R1 before I installed into his rig and viola, it worked! So remembering that ...

    Good for the price

    This is a good budget card that doesn't require too much power. I got it to use as an EGPU that was connected via expresscard and it has worked well. (Great upgrade over Intel HD 3000). Was able to use it to run Fallout 4 on a laptop with only a dual core i5 processor. That would have been impossible on the integrated gpu!

    Quiet, cool and reliable.

    Good reliable performer. Runs quietly and extremely cool in my old XPS. Will play some legacy games, but certainly not your latest graphic-intensive titles. May be a bit long for some smaller.
