Our old wii has only 5 games including boxing, bowling, (boring golf 🫢🤭) and baseball. Well, this one features lots more (at least 12! and with different variations) including archery, cycling, canoeing, wakeboarding, air sports, table tennis, and so on. Really good quality and easy to use, great fun for our whole family 😊

Wii Sports resort has that classic Nintendo feel with some unique twists that make it the perfect party game. From the moment you start the game, the new motion plus technology is front and center. Having you skydive your Mii onto the island is a great way to demonstrate the new Motion Plus features in the game. As expected, not every one of the mini-games in the collection is going to be your cup of tea, but everyone should find a few that are fun enough to keep you coming back again and again. For the casual gamer looking for a quick fix, this is an ideal title. Some of the games take better advantage of the controller than others. For instance the archery portion is particularly inspired. You can feel the creaking of the string as it pulls taught and the twang of the bow as you let your arrow fly. Outstanding! The Jet Ski obstacle course is a lot of fun as well. The golfing module is quite an improvement from the original Sports version and is my next favorite module. I have Tiger Woods 10 which is fantastic, but sometimes you just want to fire up the Wii and smash a few drives. The island concept is charming and there are some thoughtful touches, for example, there is an option in Sports Resort that automatically imports Mii's posted online to the Check Mii Out channel who can then wander into your game as spectators. It was quite fun to see Mii celebrity spoofs suddenly appear in the audience or towing you from the motorboat in the wakeboard game. What a cool concept! Most of the events take place on different portions of the island, so the views are constantly changing and give you a real sense of place that helps the immersion factor and ties everything together nicely. Overall I'd give this title a 9 of 10 and a good value for the money. Thanks Nintendo!Read full review
I've played this game a couple of times, and going from no Motion Plus to Motion Plus is a challenge. I was used to the golf game in Sports, but it got boring after going thru the small number of courses. If I can get the hang of it, I won't go back to golf in Sports. My only complaint is Archery. I'm a lefty, and the controls are set for a righty. The character on the screen is also shooting as a righty which makes it even more awkward. Everything I've tried to reverse hands hasn't worked. Anyway, my daughter is only 3 and loves SwordPlay. My favorite is basketball. There's enough variety here to make something within the 12 games enjoyable for anyone who plays. Ebay has the best prices and availability. They seem sold out at all the stores. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.Read full review
I purchased Wii Sports Resort specifically with the TWO 'free' included Wii Motion Plus, and it has been an excellent game so far. Included are 12 games, 10 of which are new and two of which are updates to the classic Wii Sports games- golf and bowling. I feel that Wii Motion Plus adds a lot to the gameplay for the golf game. More sensitive controls make it far more challenging endeavor, adding somewhat to the realism of the game. Also, I find that it is a lot more enjoyable to swing the club in this game than it was in the original. In bowling, it is much easier to add a spin to the ball. Of the additions, I would say that archery and swordplay are standouts.
Wii sport resort is an interesting game remenisent of its predisesor. The motion plus adapter makes a noticeable difference, and many of the games allow in game calibration. For example, in the sword fighting game, simply centering your sword and pressing down on the d pad, re centers the remote. And handy feature to have. The games included are swordplay, wakeboarding, frisbee, archery, basketball, table tennis, golf, bowling, power cruising, canoeing, cycling, and air sports. Although some like cycling seem like your just swinging your arms around for an extended time, several of the games are quite fun and interesting, my personal favorite is the swordplay. For those familure with the previous wii sport, you'll find the golf and bowling to be a new challenge, but a bit less finiky then the previous version. My recomendations for this game, is if your going to buy it, be sure to pick up an extra wii motion plus, as the games are much better in two players.Read full review
I saw the tv ads for this game and I knew I had to have it..the only drawback it is hard to get use to. When you played the original Wii Sports its fun and easy to understand, this new one takes time to get used to. Learning to bowl again is frustrating. But like anything new, practice makes perfect. The motion plus' is different, Nintendo should make all their games with the motion plus, so you wouldn't have to switch from one controller to another everytime you want to play a game. I have at least 20 wii games that doesn't use the motion plus..but it is an asset to the new Sports Resort game. The game itself is pricy with the 2 motion plus..Sams Club has them separate for $19.00 each give or take a few cents. The game alone is about $29.99, game and 1 motion plus is $49.00 and 2 motion plus is 54.00 Get on ebay and look for a deal, you pay anywheres from $29 to 89.00. I am glad I paid what I did..thanks Ebay!Read full review
This game is great and all, but it is almost the same as Wii Sports. It just has a few more games and features in it. However, the extra games that it does come with are actually pretty fun, especially with friends! The entire reason why I purchased this was to get the Wii MotionPlus with it. I always have those weekends with friends, and they usually want to play this game. If you don't have the original Wii Sports (which is very unlikely since the Wii comes with Wii Sports, and maybe even this game now) then this game is the way to go.
This game has lots of variety, is easy to use, and fun for a wide range of ages and skill levels! Santa brought this game for my 3 kids for Christmas; ages 10, 7, and 5. The boys like fencing the best. I haven't been able to get much playing time myself, but so far like archery and ping pong. My daughter likes the archery too. Note: you can buy this game without the new Wii Motion Plus but it is required to play, not optional as I originally thought. Also, you will need 2 Motion Plus accessories if you want to compete against each other. This is a big hit at our house and well worth the money! I expect it will be fun for years to come.
This is the second one I bought on eBay, and I am so relived to have got a copy that works well. We love competing on this and it gets the whole family doing things together. A really good buy.

I think the graphics are better in this game then they are in the original version. I think that it's fun playing with the kid's and or wife. Our kid's are more into playing then we are, but it's fun trying to see who's better and faster at responding to moves the other player or players do. With the "Motion Plus" attached, the remote is a little LONG, but manageable. It would be nice if attachments didn't cost as much, but I can't change that. I think that this game is fun for ALL, Young, Older and Old :-)
