  • Love this book!

I bought this book at the suggestion of my yoga teacher and I absolutely love it. Being in a 12 step program myself like Rolf Gates, and a new yogi, I can identify with many of the lessons and how they are presented by the writers. I can just read one passage at a time, or a few pages before bed. It always helps me to keep a positive outlook and to carry the message of peace and acceptance on and off the mat.

  • very appropriate to bringing meaning to ones life

Saw a colleague with this book. The book had been lovingly well worn and now I understand why. It is a wonderful addition to an individuals day. Meant to be read one day at a time for a year, it brings perspective to ones life and the very human side of us all trying to become a better person.

  • Excellent and Inspiring

Meditations from the Mat offers 365 short chapters (about 1 page each) one for each day of the year. It is beautifully written and truly inspiring. Rolf Gates has successfully presented the Eight Limbed Path of Yoga in a contemporary way that is easy to relate to life on and off the yoga mat in today's world.
