    Does the job at a reasonable price

    Works well. Attached drives (HDD or SSD) are bootable. Shows up in BIOS. Good Value. Only potential is PCIe 2.0 x1 is limited to 500 MB/s.whereas SATA iii allows for up to 750 MB/s. If two fast SSDs are attached, you will not get full bandwidth on the drives and speed will be throttled. Look for an x4 controller or one that supports PCIe 3.0, assuming you have motherboard slots that support this standard.

    I updated my computer, but it's still old enough not to have SATA 3.0 ports. These cards provide speeds that are pretty close to true SATA 3.

    Beautiful Add on Card!

    I don't know why so many had issues. Plug it in, Install drivers reboot and good to go! I'm Getting 345/407 Write/Read speeds With a Mushkin ECO3 Won't get the full sata 3 because of pci lanes, But much better than 260/280
