Seller packaged well, only disappointment is I didn’t notice netting pouch was torn in picture, but it was not mentioned in the description, I would suggest seller list defects in description next time. Shipping were high as well, but shipping was very quick so that was a plus thank you.

Still Epic in its own right

When they name a product "Epic," there is a certain expectation established and a bar set. The Samsung Epic is one of those phones that nearly lived up to the hype when new and still has a few tricks up its sleeve for us today. Epic is the Sprint variant of the first Galaxy S, Samsung's flagship device. While the landscape is dull and monotone today, it was a different story when the Galaxy S was still hot news because each carrier got its own special version of the device. With Sprint's heritage being that of the critically acclaimed HTC Touch Pro 2, Samsung really wanted to put out something special in order to pay homage to that legacy, so they gave Sprint the the only (at the time) Galaxy S with a horizontal slider keyboard, which is truly its killer feature. The Epic's 'board ...

  • Great deal for a still working smart phone

I've been sticking with the original Galaxy S since switching to smartphones. Because of how cheap they are to get used, it's never a problem to order a new one when something goes wrong, and it's easy to transfer everything from the SD card. This particular phone did not come with any accessories and was locked out; fortunately a factory reset solved this main problem and I had enough scrapped parts from previous phones that there was nothing further needed. Pros: - Keyboard (assuming you like typing over touching) - Affordability-- at $10-$30 for a used one, these end up being cheaper than brick phones. - Smart! Cons: - Outdated/slower than most new phones - Bulky (mostly due to keyboard) - Glitchy, as this is the original Galaxy S

  • An older generation model, but a very functional phone @ a modest price

This is my third Samsung Epic 4G & I keep coming back to it. I just spent less than $40 on this phone, which is in very good condition, and has all the features & functionality I need.

after many years of good service mine finally began having issue. because i love the slide out keypad i was distresssed until i replaced it with a used ebay purchase. i am so happy that i purchased another as backup. note i only need it for text and voice.
