Too bad Leviton quit making these!
This is the best dimmer design anyone ever came up with. It does not have a separate ON / OFF switch. It is immediately obvious how to use it. You push the slider UP to desired brightness. All the way UP is MAX. All the way down is OFF. It has a glowing dot indicator light to locate it when you are stumbling in the dark. It originally sold for $9.99 at Home Depot, etc. and is superior to products that cost over twice as much. We have 10+ of these installed in our house. They rarely break. BUT, thanks to Ebay, now I have spares just in case.
