    This is my 3rd seagull.. this is a well kept secret. I consider seagulls to be punching way above their weight. If you have the money or have to stretch a bit to get one, you will be happy. All guitars require set up by a guitar tech so expect to pay another $100 to get it like you want it. Then they are incredibly sweet guitars.

    Great-sounding dreadnought acoustic with excellent action

    Great sound. Very good action. The S6 has a slightly wider than usual nut (45 mm rather than 42), which is good for me, because I have big hands, and find it much easier to depress the strings without muting adjacent ones. May not be ideal for someone with smaller hands. This one is the newer version, with the dark-stained sides and back, rather than the unstained original version. Otherwise it is identical to the older version.

    Beautiful instrument, beautiful tone.

    I could not be happier with the quality of this guitar. I would put it up against much more expensive guitars, for sound, playability and looks. Plays like a dream. I definitely recommend the S6 to anyone just starting to play as well as seasoned players. This is a keeper for life and it’s only going to get better. I love it.

    Good and you can make them better.

    The guitar is well made structurally but the finish work on the frets leaves something to be desired. The fret height is uneven causing buzzing and the string height is too high in the upper registers. My guitar tech can repair and compensate and make the instrument play as it is capable of, The fact is that the factory is making thousands of these and their tolerances are vague at best. Hey, you get what you pay for so adding an additional couple of hundred to make it right isn’t a big deal. Overall, I like seagulls. I own three.

    Amazing Value

    Honestly this guitar sounds as good as some that cost 5 times as much. A great choice for someone starting out who wants to avoid a cheap guitar without spending a fortune. If you read reviews, everyone loves the Seagull S6!
