    Works well,but no microSD port.

    Bought this model so I could use micro-HDMI port to mirror display to "big screen" to instruct Sunday School students on Kindle Fire use. It's not ideal due to lack of microSD port and operating system differences, but it serves my purpose .

    Loved this model EXCEPT ...

    This was my third Kindle. The second lasted a little over a year before it died while I was on vacation, which was a strange coincidence, since the first one also malfunctioned while I was on vacation! (It lost the ability to pick up wifi.) I wanted to keep this particular model because I didn't want to have to buy a new case for it. Well, this particular model worked fine for about 3 months. Now it freezes up and I have to shut it down and reboot. ALL THE TIME. I am extremely disappointed! That said, I still plan to upgrade to the 8" Kindle in hopes the bugs have been worked out. I just hate the idea of learning a whole new system if I go to an iPad or tablet by another company. Fingers crossed.

    This might as well have been new off the shelf. It seems in perfect condition to me with great battery life and no scratches anywhere. I'm thinking maybe it is a "2nd" as the input for the charger is at a slight angle that causes the plug to bump the leather case a little. Zero issue there. It also came completely ready to register. Love it and couldn't have asked for better especially for the amazing price. it is a "Special Offer" model meaning that the first screen is one advertising something. Also zero issue. Just swipe on by it. Every tablet has an opening screen of some sort. This one just happens to be an advertisement.     wonderful invention

    I am a book reader and this device was reluctantly 'tried'. Well, sure glad I did. It will never replace a book but it lets me devour reads that are not shelf worthy. I guess the best thing about it is the compact size, I can bring along a pile of reads in a tiny little package. My plan is, if I find a good read I can buy a paper version for the shelf. * can't comment on the battery life as yet.

    Nice Product but

    I was shocked to see it arrive on the day it said it would. It looked pretty new to me. It worked great when i first got it. Now I am just having some little problems... such as it shuts off once in a while when you are using it for no reason. It also doesn't have a long battery life, like it said. Other wise I am pleased. Thank you
