It's made out of some kind of canvas type material and is very quick and easy to switch between outside carry and inside. It seems pretty universal to carry a wide range of pistols but for mine, a Taurus 709 slim, it fit absolutely perfect. It is the exact length of the slide and looks like it was made specifically for this gun. It's lightweight and because it is soft it feels like it fits closer to my body than the hard plastic or leather ones
