    I have older style 1" thick storm doors. At first I couldn't figure out why the button wasn't working. After I realized what was going on, I just used a pair of dikes to cut 1/2" off the push rod and it worked great. Just wish they had made the button color match the handle color. The build quality leaves much to be desired, but regrettably, that seems to be the norm nowadays.

After I realized what was going on, I just used a pair of dikes to cut 1/2" off the push rod and it worked great. Just wish they had made the button color match the handle color.
