For All Your Demon Punching Needs
An excellent guide for Disgaea 2. It actually covers a lot of the details that you need to figure out to get the most out of the game. The "Spoilers" section of the guide could have been handled a bit better. The manga-style reverse format, combined with placing the section up-side down was an interesting idea. Unfortunately, it was placed in the center of the guide, which is jarring, and compounded with some formatting errors that can make it hard to follow. It should have been placed in the back. That said these are minor details compared to how the guide itself actually handles itself and the information. You can find what you're looking for fairly quickly, including general tips and strategies on how to make awesome characters. Things can get fairly intricate (it's for a Disgaea game after all). Overall, this is a handy tool for getting you on the road to steamrolling your enemies, and great if you wind up stuck somewhere, or need to drop the game for a while and come back.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Found a Flawless Copy at Great Price - A complete strategy guide for Disgaea 2. Power Leveling, Complete Exploration Walkthroughs, Spoilers, & Charts
Liked this game. The guide is a must if you want to max out your character or just learn all the different bosses and baddies you can take on. I found google and blogs more helpful, but its a long way to LVL 9999. This book will give you a great head start. It helped me take the shortest path. Plus, it is geared towards die core SRPG players and has a thorough overview of each level and feature for its size. The book is also overflowing with spoilers about the Item World, Land of Carnage, Axel Mode, how to get all the endings, The Dark World, and everything else: dark court, item world, felonies, reincarnation, character formulation and creation. Its only shortcoming is that there isn't one single section dedicated to "this is what you do to power level your team." You gather that as you read about what goes into power leveling. Personally, I played this to get the rare items, get a strong team, and find out how much crippling damage I can dish out. The guide just helps that process along with some pieces of information that I would otherwise have never found online or that would have taken alot of investment to find information for. I played this game on PS2 and am revisiting on PC. The second go I am more prepared. Oh yeah also, NIS America rules dood.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
