We put our pedal to the metal--it worked fine. The switch on the side is not "on-off" or "polarity", it is a "normally open or normally closed" switch. Most pianos need "normally open", but you can't hurt anything by setting it wrong. If it is set wrong, the piano will sustain all the time EXCEPT when the pedal is pushed. Opposite of a real piano.

Arrived quickly! And item was new as described.
What I didn’t like tho is that the plastic enclosure that the sheet set came in smells terrible! And the sheet itself had absorbed the off gassing. Can still smell it faintly after two washes. I picked 100% cotton sheets to avoid plastic but the plastic enclosure it came in is terrible. I would have preferred that the manufacturer had a more eco-friendly packaging, ie paper packing. Please communicate that to the manufacturer if possible! Thank u!
