We have never seen one of these before, but had read about them. This seems to almost operate by magic...the pans reach cooking temperature within seconds and the unit remains cool to the touch! This reduces cooking time and helps keep the kitchen cooler. I am seriously considering updating our Jenn Air cooktop to a full size induction model. Need more help.
Over all I find it to be as slick as the microwave. Quick. Simple to operate (once you figure it out). The only thing I think is missing is a more detailed set of cooking instructions. I have found this complaint to be true with a lot of other items from China. I worked with an instruction pamphlet, a couple pots of water and see what happens and how long it takes. This cooktop is awesome! After using a standard hot plate for a while, switching to this cooktop is like a night and day change. It works great, the settings are very visible and easy to select and it is very easy to clean. The pot that is included is cheap and not of much use but at the price I paid it really did not matter to me.
