    One squirrel per hour

    If you are able to be at home when you use this you can count on catching approximately 1 squirrel per hour. Once one gets inside the others see it freak out so they don’t go in. (At least with eastern grey squirrels) so every hour I go out and dispatch the squirrel, scatter some fresh bird seed and wait for the next one. I have twelve squirrels in two days with it out for about 5-6 hours each day! No need to move it. They don’t realize what happened and go right on in. I use bird seed with peanuts in it and scatter some right in the center where they can’t reach it. I usually stake it down too so they don’t move the trap but it’s frozen out now and I cannot stake it. So far it still works fine! I would highly recommend this over any other trap for ease of use and convenience.

    Squirrelinator, Don't waste your money!

    When the cage arrived, I was so excited. I threw a couple of peanuts in the shell outside the door entrance and the rest inside the trap. I was home so I kept an eye on the trap and before you knew it I had trapped my first squirrel. When a reset the trap the next time and baited it the exact same way,the results were not the same. I wondered what was different and then I remembered. I set the trap and had to go to work. I came home that evening expecting to have another squirrel or two, but no squirrels and all that was left in the bottom the trap was empty peanut hulls. I wondered how they got out so I reset the trap and this time I watched to see what happened. After a couple of hours, another squirrel was in the trap but I just waited to see what happened next.     Total Waste Of Money

    Not only was the money I spent on the trap a waste, but all the "bait" I've used too. I've had the trap for a month or more, baiting it every day according to the directions on the box, and I have caught ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The ground squirrels use it for a lookout station & eat all the grain, etc. around the outside while the tiny birds fly in and out, eating the grains on the inside of the trap. Why? I've moved it to different locals on the property, tried different baits, can't think of what else to do. The squirrels are running rampant, none wanting to stop by and stay awhile! I've heard of folks having great success with this trap but I have had NONE!

    Waitnin' for the Squirrel-inatin' to Start

    Good quality construction, easy to use, virtually fool-proof. Little furry bstrds won't go near it. May try different bait, but would have thought at least one stupid one would go for dried ears of corn!!

    Squirrels Be Gone

    The squirrels have taken over this year at our home. The have ripped our pool cage in various locations and pulled the roof panels loose in 2 locations. We had tried the Hav-a-hart traps to no avail. They did not weigh enough to trip the plate. This trap solved this problem. Sprinkle irresistible squirrel yummies in the trap and at the 2 doors. Squirrels push the doors open but are unable to lift them to escape. Trap has a large door on the top to let squirrels loose when they are relocated. Love this trap.
