A standalone expansion to 2005's supernatural shooter, F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate takes place during the same time frame as the original F.E.A.R., but with a new storyline and team to control. Players are sent to investigate the top-secret Perseus Project developed by the Armacham Technology Corporation. The game offers a total of 16 levels spread across seven "intervals," introducing three new weapons to the F.E.A.R. franchise: a chain lightning gun, grenade launcher, and an advanced rifle. AI-controlled teammates will help players battle highly skilled mercenaries called Nightcrawlers, who move swiftly and silently to take out their targets. Online multiplayer support is also included for up to 16 combatants.

F.E.A.R Perseus Mandate (PC)
Game is very good and also very scary. Has a different feel than the typical shooter games (Call of Duty mainly) which is a weird adjustment. Very cool aspects such as the ability to slow down time which adds a different aspect than your normal run around and shoot things FPS. The scary parts are...scary. I've had to stop playing a couple times just because I did not want to go forward. I have not found anything I disliked about the game. I bought the game because I played the demo for F.E.A.R 2 and wanted to experience the first two previous games before I played F.E.A.R 2.

The game is well worth the money. It's hours of fun and entertainment. There are multiple levels with plenty of action. The graphics are better than most Playstation 2 games. I am a physician and the blood, gore, and mutilation scenes are fairly accurate. The controls are easy to master and can be self-tailored. I'm not a "gamer" but this game could convert me. My only complaint is that the avatar can’t hold/use all of the weapons he picks up – he is limited to three. Overall, I recommend this game and will purchase more F.E.A.R. games.

About the game
My system is Microsoft Vista. The game was easy to install. HD on my system is clear. I like the fact that you can choose levels (easy, medium, hard). I recommend playing medium or hard for a challenge. The game play is a basic first person shooter game with a few surprises in it. Overall it is a fun game to play.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
Its an expasion pack that play stand alone without the game game. Its a game all buy itself with play time that is very comparable to the game itself. It could have been called fear 2 really. Still - Great 1st person shooter. I really like it. Lots of new items and interaction from what I'm was used of. Game responds well during play.

One of my favorite games
Pros:F.E.A.R series of games were and still are my fav games..Plenty of weapons,great story line and charaters,Gory and bloody,Scary cut scenes...Just badass!! Cons:I had to mod a few settting to get the game to go to 1680x1050 but it worked. Other:I love teh fear games..Ive beat the first 3 now its on to fear2..Get all teh fear games and play them..youll like them
