DeWalt combo DCKO975M1
I own many Dewalt cordless tools, (drills, saws, drivers, worklights, etc), so it only took a little time to get this to complement my other Dewalt tools. I am so glad I did. The only issue I had was assembly of the trimmer. The two poles connect together and are oriented by a small spring-loaded pin. The pin was not positioned in the tube correctly and wouldn't "pop"" out to orient the pole. After a little creative engineering with screwdrivers and needle-nose pliers I was able to get the pin to work properly and was able to complete the assembly quickly. I used the trimmer for the first time and was really impressed the balance was perfect, the vibration was very low and the power was more than sufficient. Starting with the freshly charged battery, I was able to trim my entire yard, (450 ft chainlink fencing, 7 trees, driveway, sidewalks, and around the garden area), in about 25 minutes. Battery still indicated 50% charge. I then put the battery in the blower to clear grass clippings off the driveway, patio and sidewalks and the battery still had life. I used low speed on the trimmer which was plenty fast enough to trim and I used high speed on the blower. Battery took about 35 minutes to recharge. This combo is a terrific addition to my other Dewalt tools and only wish I would have done it sooner. Now I can put my gas powered Husqvarna trimmer and Craftsman blower in my "garage sale" stuff.

Replacing gas equipment for zero maintenance electric
I landscaped for years, using primarily echo and stihl equipment. I have recently began selling nog the last of my professional equipment as I no longer do landscaping for other folks and it's just Overkill for my property. One 4ah battery was able to do all my string trimming and hard surfaces, and still had juice. I live on just over a 1/4 acre, and have a privacy fence and lots of blacktop and sidewalk/patio edges on the property. Very impressed with run time and power. I really like the DeWalt string trimmer takes .080 string as their are many aggressive options on the market making this a suitable replacement for gas. No need for pre loaded spools on this unit either as many of the lower quality electric manufacturers use. The leaf blower if plenty efficient and powerful, but the slowing of the blower motor is similar to that of the DeWalt fan as the battery drains. Still very impressed with the unit. Overall a great deal for the kit of the string trimmer, leaf blower, battey and charger for right around $210 I paid.

Good for small yards
I think this trimmer and blower should have a little more power. It's ok for the small yard use. It won't cut through some thicker stem weeds though. I'm happy it's dewalt as they have quality products. My other batteries fit. It's still a keeper
