Noisy, and bulky cable adapter might impede airflow
The physical size of the PSU is a perfect match for the space allocated for it in my EX485's server case. However, the cable is wired for a normal ATX pinout and to mate with the EX485 motherboard requires a supplied 20-pin to 20-pin adapter. The extra bulk of that adapter makes it hard to stuff the cabling into the case, and takes up a lot of space that was meant to allow for airflow. I'm concerned the PSU might run hot as a result. The PSU fan constantly runs full throttle, is extremely noisy and sounds like there is a turbine running in my office. The original PSU that lasted four years, and its replacement that lasted eight years were both very quiet and I never noticed the server running just a few feet above my head. Now I can hear it when I approach the door to the office.

Great product for a good price that arrived quickly
The item works wonderfully and is quiet. The cable is a bit longer than the stock power supply but it's wired and wrapped for the media smart server so a bit of fiddling with calling inside the case didn't bother me. Great product that arrived quickly.

Did the job. Got my server back.
The power supply was a perfect fit however, (minor) the screw holes were larger that the original - no problem, plenty of replacement screw. Major problem. The fan is extremely loud. It sounds like an airplane engine.
