      I bought the 3/4in basic holdfast pair. Holdfasts are fairly simple objects, but there are a lot of subtle things that, if done wrong, can ruin them. Luckily these are made by someone that knows what he is doing: they are springy so they clamp well, the shaft is a bit rough and unfinished so it holds well, and the clamping surface has been ground flat so it doesn't mar your work. Highly reccomended and an unbeatable value.
