Don't waste time with generic.
After purchasing 2 generic lamps for my Sony 70" XBR TV, one lasted 5 days and the other 2 days, I replaced the lamp with a Sony/Phillips Lamp. When inspecting the generic lamps I noticed they had 2 very tiny wires, one positive and one negative I assume, connected to the bulb. The Sony/Phillips have thick wires that are bolted on to the bulb. My lamp blew 2 weeks before Christmas first generic 2 days before second 3 days after. All going on with Holliday weekends delaying shipments. So save time and frustration and get quality, in this case you definitely get what you pay for!

Just Buy the original manufacturer bulb.
Spend another $40.00 and get the original Osram or Sylvania bulb. These cheap ones are too dark thus rendering them useless.
