    I've bought other budget power supplies that caused strange problems, but this one works as expected. It is slightly larger and heavier than the factory unit, but not enough to bother me.

    Heaviest Power Supply Ever Seen

    The power adapter arrived with a few minor abrasions and seems to power my Lenovo P50 computer adequately. However, it is larger than the adapter that came with my computer. The OEM is heavy, but the one I am reviewing is incredibly heavy. This one works and is listed on Lenovo's compatibility chart. Still, my recommendation is to look carefully at the model number and try to buy the OEM for your P50.

    Works for Lenovo ThinkPad P50 and W540 unlike several others which claim to, but don't provide sufficient power. It's a bit bulkier than the OEM charger, but that's not an issue.

    Much Larger and Heavier than the Current Charger being sold

    This is obviously "new-old stock," and will be larger and heavier than the similar model currently accompanying Thinkpad models for which it is designed. If you are buying this to have an extra charger to leave in a fixed place, that would be a good choice, given the price. If on the other hand you will be hauling this around, consider spending a bit more and buying the model currently being sold.
