    OEM toyota thermostat. Simply the best

    OEM Toyota thermostat. Will never let you down. It will not lock in the " closed" position like off brand thermostats. This thing is made solid. Pure brass or copper controls the thermostat. I would change them every 125k, only because they get scoring / wear on the brass-copper parts. Totally normal. I've used aftermarket thermostats before on older cars..Guess what..Within a month, some locked in the closed position, which causes an overheat situation. Never again. Not going to take the chance of warping a cylinder head, then have a head gasket leak problem. Don't play games with thermostats. You'll lose. Put back OEM parts. Peace of mind.

    Good Thermostat sold W/O gasket.

    Being an original Toyota product the thermostat was good quality. However be aware that thel rubber gasket, essential during the fitting process, is not enclosed and will have to be purchased separately. Most thermostats com with the gasket enclosed so this is inconvenient and a disappointment.
