    New life for the oldies.

    Have replaced Athlon II P340 with this cpu on my old laptop (Sony Vaio VPCEE3E1R PCG-61611V). Haven't any compatibility troubles, just setup to the slot and power on. Everything works great. With two more cores system has become noticeably more responsive. E.g. with old one couldn't watch 720p videos on internet without freezes, now even 1080p is not a problem.

    Great upgrade for your old laptop!

    Love this CPU! Transformed my laptop 100% better from the stock v140. My machine is a Compaq CQ56. If you have one of these machines, you want one of these processor upgrades. The upgrade was straight forward, Compaq labeled the screw sizes on the screw holes, just make sure you get the right screws in the right place when you go back with it. I recommend cleaning the heat sink well and using Arctic Silver 5, but leave the thermal conductive pad on the chipset/ northbridge. Also of note, my laptop now runs much cooler and i can even watch 4k HD video without even breaking 50% CPU usage ;)

    Good product

    It works perfect! I was nervous because it was a long way from China to Mexico City vía governments post, but it was in perfect conditions. Processor works ok I have no issues until now. I am using it in a HP notebook with lubunutu so I don’t know how much stress am I really putting on it.
