A game changer
These are a game changer when it comes to being confident that I can quickly release from my pedals at the last second on tricky or technical sections of a trail. Yet I can still get full power when lifting on my pedaling stroke/rotation. I just tested these on a difficult trail and they definitely saved me from falling several times. I had been thinking of switching back to flat pedals, but not now. I ride a mountain bike, but also would not hesitate to use them on a road bike. Why didn't anybody tell me about these sooner? Argh! Multi-Release cleats make me happy!
This particular item was slightly used, but in great shape. The item in general is just what I was looking for. I was a little terrified about not being able to clip out timely so the multi-release cleat was what I chose, along with a pedal that supports the multi-release. I couldn't be more pleased. They work perfectly with my pedals and make me feel much more secure in (and coming out of) the pedals. No more slipping off the pedals (unless I miss the lock in, but that's on me). They stay locked when needed and I have never accidentally clipped out with them, but yet I am still able to free them from the pedals quickly.
