    Works great with my 2 axle trailer!

    My Tekonsha 90160 got wet and was not working correctly. I found this on eBay. It came 'new in box'. I plugged it in place of my controller and it worked perfectly.

    Unpredictable

    The unit has times that it works and then it does not work. I only know how it is going to function when I push the slide bar and the trailer brakes actually engage. This is the 2nd unit I have bought due to letting the first one go with the truck. Never had any trouble with the first one. This one is just not the same. So I rate this unit a 5 out of 10 and say you are taking your chances as to how it works.

    Does the job, but with some weaknesses.

    The brake controller does what it is supposed to do, but it is susceptible to sudden failures. For example, if the disconnect switch on the trailer is activated while the brake controller is powered up, the brake controller will behave erratically. Although I have not opened the brake controller, it is my belief that the unit contains a microcontroller that can be adversely affected by sudden power fluctuations during operation. I have a spare unit that I carry any time I am towing...just in case.

    Great Product!

    Great product!!! Wife just retired and we bought a used travel trailer from a private party. Needed a brake control for my 06 Toyota Tundra. Found this one after reading reviews. Also ordered the vehicle specific connector. Simple plug and go! Followed the included directions on how to set things up and it works perfectly!!! Highly recommend! This may not be the top of the line product with all the bells and whistles but it does exactly what it is supposed to do and is easy to install and adjust.

    Solid controller; easy to install; works great.

    Installed and worked right as soon as I powered it up. Same/similar model to what I had in another vehicle and wanted to share the operational commonality. Also similar to what trailer rental places offer. So a well known model with a good reputation. Installation was easy; assuming you are familiar with basic car electrical work.
