    Google Wifi has been great for me.

    This is the “older” version of Google Wifi. I have had 1 router in my home for about 1.5 years, and recently added a second to reach a few more rooms. It is easy to set up, handles a lot of devices online well, and offers some really great controls (including parental controls) on a user-friendly interface. The one draw back is that I don’t love that the router needs to stay “logged in” to my Google account to be used. But the great functionality of this as a router and a mesh system outweighs that for me. I would recommend to anyone getting started with their own router and network setup for the first time, as well as more advanced users. I personally see no reason to pay more for the new “Nest” branded version from Google at this time, these 1st gen pucks are really great.

    It’s was too hard to put together,and the instructions should have been a lot more detailed and clearer to understand. Having more pictures to view would have been helpful as well especially for the average person.

    Excellent Mesh Router but no VPN install capabilities

    Excellent Mesh Wireless router. Install and configuration is easy. Don't use the same network name as your previous router as devices get confused. Change the network name as I did not do this and it took longer to configure. Excellent speed in my 3000 sq ft home. Placed the 3 nodes across the house. Getting close to Ethernet speeds, 100 mb DL and 10 UL. Only negative review would be that one cannot use a VPN with this router. However, you can add a VPN to an individual device but not the router like other routers such as the Orbi or Velop. But, reliability, speed and hassle free system.

    Highly recommend the Google mesh network!

    I highly recommend the Google mesh network. We have a house that is built like a U with concrete walls and the connection was terrible. With the mesh network, we now have connectivity through the entire house and it only took 10 minutes to set up. I grouped my kid's devices together and they automatically go off at 9:00 PM and come online around 6:00 AM. They complain, but since it's "programmed," they have no retort, so bed time is easy. Love this network and the features.

    Google nailed this one with great features

    Bought the three pack and extended my range incredibly. No more dead spots in the house and get a pretty good range out in the backyard as well as the front yard now. Still get pretty good speed even though there is about 10 to 20% loss at times which is still incredibly better than when I was using a range extender. And thanks to the mesh networking feature, no more dropped signal when trying connect between the main and the extender and the fights between the main and the extender either. Overall this is a great product, easy to add the extending pucks and very very easy to use. Very highly recommend this product.
