    It is vintage.

    The package stated made in USA. This bridge is made from thinner gauge metal than the original on the Squire VM Fretless bass. Therefore, be ready to do a setup, at least string height...not a bad idea anyway. It fits exactly into the pre-existing holes after taking off the old bridge. The main reason I purchased this bridge was to be able to better align the strings between the pickup poles. The vintage bridge satisfies that objective. If you're happy with the string spacing on the original Squire bridge, I would not recommend changing it. Other than the spacing issue, the original bridge works well enough, in my opinion. I gave the vintage bridge five stars, as I can't really find anything wrong with it. It looks good and works well.

    Great upgrade for Fender standard p bass (Mexican)

    This bridge is a no-brainer, cheap upgrade for a Fender Mexican P or J. Possible tone improvements aside, this bridge is a snap to install, easy to adjust (both action and intonation), and looks good, too! A huge improvement over the poorly machined, hard to adjust Mexican Standard bridge.

    Best bridge for ANY 4-string Fender bass

    This bridge allows the best string alignment over the pickup pole pieces, the best string spacing, keeps the Fender sound and it’s also the cheapest option! Aftermarket die-cast bridges change the sound of the instrument; if you don’t want the Fender sound, don’t play one!

    Great vintage bridge!

    I love this bridge. It is excellent quality and lets the bass body speak rather than emphasize the bridge tone from using a high mass type bridge. The string spacing is also a doodle with this bridge to fine tune the string spacing over the pickups. Leo Fender's original design works like a dream.
