The barrel design takes some getting accustomed to versus the traditional D handle style. The versatility it offers by being able to act as a coping saw on moulding, or cut from below the material justifies this adjustment. The light is much handier than I initially thought necessary, & the blower fan has been missing from all jigsaw ever produced. The other adjustment is the ambidextrous on/off switches. The variable speed is set by a dial rather than a trigger. I find the Auto setting to be perfect. Definitely a worthwhile addition to my M18 tools.

Handle to wide, (bulky)
Too bulky, really not satisfied with the handle size. Need to find what type of blades it requires. Haven't actually used it yet.

Great switch is awkward
Fantastic jigsaw great Milwaukee quality! Switch is strange and a little hard to reach. Automatic speed setting is dumb because it never slows down when not cutting. But who needs that feature anyway? Cuts excellent, cordless convenience all good

Great saw if you've got big hands and are left-handed.
Great product, wish I would have purchased it earlier. Being left-handed the ambidextrous on/off switch is wonderful. The auto speed adjustment is nice to have it lets you start the cut at a slower stokes/minute and ramps up to full speed as you get the cut going. I wish the auto setting would let you select a speed other than full, depending on what you're cutting you may not want to go to full speed. I'm a big guy with big hands so I don't have any trouble gripping the barrel of the saw but, my wife has smaller hands and has difficultly gripping the saw by the barrel. She'll continue to use the older Porter/Cable top handle corded jigsaw. So if you've got small hands this isn't the machine for you.
