OK follow up
I remember seeing this film in the theater as a kid The scene where Brody is in the ocean looking after the remains of the boat "accident" & the burned body jumps out. We all jumped. The positives about the film is bringing back the late Roy Scheider, late Murray Hamilton, Lorraine Gary & having John Williams back to do the music. It is an OK follow up. Yes another large great white back eating people in the Amity area. So, the Brody kids were played in 4 films by 4 different actors. What brings the film NOT anywhere near the original classic film is wasting of time on the teenage characters. BORING. Did you care? I did Not then & I do NOT now. At least some extras on the DVD NO chapter search list. You could do worse than Jaws 2. Like for example 3 of 4. Truly bad films. You just have the music & the some of the original characters back. Would have been nice to get Dreyfuss back just to take a phone call from Scheider.

A classic for sure.Already had the original Jaws and had to have 2 as well.Well worth the price and the quality is excellent.

JAWS 2 (2001 DVD)
I have always liked this sequel to the original Jaws because it stands alone from the original and is equally frightening as it's original predesessor. Getting the main stars from the first film for story continuity was a plus. Great acting, great photography, great script, great on the edge of your seat excitement, great color print. Excellent menus and great bonus features. One slight disapointment:The audio track is in Mono, which I can live with, but it would have been nice to have remastered this with simulated or rechanneled Stereo - 5.1 surround sound. I bought this one because I never find it in the stores, and I have been looking for one for a long time. A great DVD - I give it a 9.9 rating out of 10 with one point off for not being in stereo.

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water.
This is one great sequel, the cast is great; and the story a success. I am a little touchy about sequels because most suck, not this one. It's one of the few that grabs you till the end. Jaws two will teach you lessons about the dangers of the ocean, but the best and still the best is JAWS.

Very good for a (2) movie.
Usually, anything 2 is, at best, sub-par compared to the First movie but JAWS 2 delivers on all counts - Not as good as the original, but close. VERY close! Which is why I only have JAWS 1 & 2. Then acting in 2 is good, the plot is clear and easy to understand, and the movie itself is a clear 8.5 out of 10!
