      I still don't know what the hell this thing is for but it's pretty awesome... item was shipped well packaged, fast, and exactly as described. Fairly priced, overall great experience. Wonderful seller, very professional, would definitely buy again from this seller. I think I can machine a new die to make this a ¼" hole punch so even though I don't know what it was made for I certainly know how I'm going to use it. 10/10 overall

    • Snap-On 71-10 ratchet

      Beautiful collectors piece, as these are nearly 80 years old now. In factory form these sported a low 20 tooth gear with a crescent pawl that had one tooth per side engagement. These were nickel chrome plated, at least the ones that were produced after the war. It's pretty rare to find one dated pre 1946, but they are out there. Many are found to be pretty roached and beat up, especially on the handle which for some reason people unfortunately use as hammers many times, so it is very common to find these with dings and damage to their handles. They are extremely solid ratchets, well built and strong. Which is probably why these get used as hammers, and abused! There are still to this day repair kits available for these antique ratchets. Kit # RKRA972 will repair these, minus the bushing ...
