First off, it's really hard to judge this watch when you don't have it physically in front of you. I looked at it for months until I decided to just go for it. I really wanted an SPB143/147, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend $800+ yet, and they just seemed like they'd be kind of small on my 7.5" wrist. Enter the spb051/sbdc051. This has good heft, good proportions, and looks stunning. Seriously, online, it looks: ok... In person, no comparison. It looks amazing! For me this is a classic "half-way grail," the problem is, I might be stuck here for awhile, because the watch is just way better than any other that I've had (mostly $50-500 watches). This watch has a true $1000 look and feel, but I got mine for a little over $450 total. And at that price, the value is amazing. I've entirely lost interest in anything now below a Tudor or Omega. And even for those, maybe someday, if I can ever take off my 051. Read full review
