What a surprise,so little, can do so much. This is no memory hog. BUT....It can do almost as much, as the big Memory Hogs. The Chrome O/S (operating system) is quite a deal, much faster and secure than Microsoft, and or Apple,because of it's size It is a Browser on Steroids made into an O/S. (Operating System) it is basilclly a mini form of "Unix" like Linux is, fast secure, and real intuitive to learn & use. I have netbooks, Laptops, Home PC's and Tablets. I use & like Linux & android (Linux lite), which chrome is built like. but for portability Chrome, & , Chromebook is My Choice. It is what,it is,&, does what it does well! which is do the Internet. I have purchased 3 of these Chromebooks altogether, for my young children to use for homework, and class projects. They are limited in capacity, and storage, but have everything a child needs to stay ahead of the curve in computer technology for elementary, through middle school students. The middle school they attend now assigns each student in the school their own chromebook computer, to use, and take care of, for the entire time they are there, and offer a buy back program, before going off to high school. I might recommend looking into a more advanced laptop for high school and college students, but the chromebook line has a very adequate operating system, that is easy to learn, and relatively inexpensive, and has all the technology they need to get them started early with computers. ... I have purchased 3 of these Chromebooks altogether, for my young children to use for homework, and class projects. Awesome College laptop!
Bought this Chromebook because my main laptop has cosmetic damage I don't want getting worse and I needed a computer for class. This is so lightweight and easy to take class to class. It also doesn't break the bank! I probably use it more than my PC laptop. Don't know about battery life yet but heard it's good.

This item replaced an older Acer Chromebook, and is light year better than the old computer. The battery lasts forever. I haven't timed it, but I would not be surprised if the advertised 11 hour batter life is accurate. Display is adequate, and it has the normal plusses and minuses associated with Chromebooks. The one nit I do have, is that the product does not have a delete key.
