A businessman (Quaid) rents a cottage on the magical Emerald Isle which happens to inhabit leprechauns and fairies. One night at a party, a young leprechaun falls in love with a fairy princess. Their forbidden romance starts a war between the mythical communities. I LOVE this movie!!!
This is definately a "made-for-TV" movie...but I still love it! As "cheesy" as the story is, the acting makes up for it. It's not an acdemey award winner, but it's very entertaining. I just rented it from Netflix and watched it about 15 times before I sent it back. If you like "fairy-tales" and love stories you'll really like this movie! Kieren Caulkin is soooo cute is this, too! His Irish accent is not bad either...at least not as bad as some of the non-native people in the movie. But with that said, the story and the acting are pretty good for a low budget film. However, if you analize every little bit, or if you're expecting it to be exact to leprechaun legand, then you may be dissapointed. But if you take it as the cute, funny, love story it's supposed to be, then this movie will become part of your home collection as well!

Magical Legend of Leprechans
This is yet another movie I once owned which I could not wait to replace! It is a beautiful story about fairies and leprechauns, which has a very subtle undertone about the damaging affects of prejudice and how it can destroy everything we think we have going on... Whoopi is awesome in her role as the Great Banshee, Randy Quaid does a stellar job in his role as well… the effects are awesome… but as I have mentioned in other reviews, I select movies with a message which I look forward to sharing with others. Iff you like movies to share with others, this is one for the collection!!

MAGIC OF THE LEPRECHAUNS
I like this movie about the leprechauns. I saw it on tv awhile ago. I copied the move off the tv. The copy is old so I decided to buy an original movie. once I found out it was on sale.

Great movie, but was misdirected by Google
Was linked here via a Google search for the DVD, so figured I was seeing a DVD. Made the discovery after I finished with the payment that it was in fact a VHS and now can not contact the seller at all about cancelling.
