2014 full length from the Italian born Berkeley graduate Ada Rovatti. The saxophonist has matured since her last recording as a leader in 2009. This recording has a stellar line up of supporting musicians including Randy Brecker, Adam Rogers, Dean Brown, Zach Brock & Anne Drummond, all bringing the music to inspired heights, and with the strong rhythmic support generated by Janek Gwizdala, Oli Rockberger, Leo Genovese and drummer Dana Hawkins, all the musicians deliver outstanding performances exploring the jazz, funk, rock & latin genres. This CD contains 7 originals tunes penned Ms. Rovatti, each one of them representing different sides of Ada's love for music plus two songs that she rearranged: "Smile" by Charlie Chaplin & a cutting edge version of Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven".
