I have been using Lumix cameras since 2011...never had a problem with a single one of them...the designers just get so many things right on these cams...the G85 has a great grip,a hot shoe for pro level accessories, fully articulated screen, superb EVF,in body stabilizer, weatherproofing and a gorgeous touch screen:))
It's quite a bit bigger than my GM-1 but still a great walk-around cam with the tiny 12-32mm attached...I typically pack the cam,the 12-32,my 15mm 1.7 and my 42.5mm 1.7,a spare battery and it makes for a near perfect travel kit IMO.
The used market prices on these is only around $320 and that makes it hard to beat:))
It's an older 16 mp sensor, so shooting above ISO 3200 starts to bring out a small degradation in IQ compared to my newer m43 cameras or FF gear, but it's a great package that's relatively small and very user friendly. I'm an advanced amateur so I really tend to push my gear, this holds up well in both IQ and durability.
Coupled with the small 12-35 & 35-100f2.8 lenses it's super compact and easy to pack in a dayback or backpack for urban or hiking adventures.
Despite being a mid-level camera, it's much more solidly built than my Canon R6.
