      Unfortunately USPS decided to use my package as a football. The cost was very fair and shipping price was reasonable. They WERE as described, as pieces were in box. It WAS packaged with lots of protection. The seller refunded quickly and I'm hoping with the photos I sent, the PO will accept her claim. I just hated to see the figurines destroyed.

      Tbh, I thought this record was going to be worn more than it actually was being a promotional copy. But the condition was as described with a slight bit of groove wear. Aside from that, the album is in great condition. It was a really quick ship, packed extremely well, even with a plastic sleeve to spare the album art inner sleeve. All in all, great transaction would definitely do business again.

      The U.S. Capitol record mixes are different

      It is cool to hear the Capitol mixes of the Beatles records compared to the Parlophone/Apple mixes. Capitol added reverb and made louder mixes for the US audiences. The new Capitol US Albums boxset used the recent Apple remixes, so it is hard to find the original Capitol mixes on compact disc.

      If you are a baby boomer, you will love this!

      I had become educated on The Beatles via the 1982 MFSL LP's, the 1987 CD's and the 2009 remasters and had forgotten what I actually grew up with which are the Capitol LP's and singles in the US. I read articles on what the Capitol engineers did to the EMI UK tapes, but was amazed when I actually heard them again for the first time in 30+ years. This set and Vol 2 are must haves for any die hard Beatles' fan!

      The Beatles albums presented the way we first saw them

      The Capital Album series represents the way I grew up listening to the Beatles albums--We didn't have access to the import The Beatles albums,and now since I have tThe Beatles Stereo Box set, I have the original Parlaphone albums and now I also have alot of the alubums(on cd) that I gre up with.
