    You Need it

    ive got the 55e2000. time to replace the lamp. got a generic from wally. didnt have the original remote to do the power reset but mainly the factory reset (which has "lamp replacement" functions to opt through; found on screen beyond diagnostics.) i could get there manually but it took this original remote to start from power on and navigate through the on screen "lamp replacement" to perform a complete reset. The product itself is programmable like a generic and can be used as a stand alone. Although limited to some brand names, if it has a code related to a similar function, this remote will sing it out regardless of semantics. It seems like its physically longer compared to others but it worked for what i needed, within the conditions to prevail.

    Sony Bravia Universal Remote

    Remote for Sony Bravia tv. The bottom end of the remote slides open to reveal a set of hidden buttons. Instructions for use of this remote can be found in the user manual for the tv. Program codes for other components are Sony's website. It was easy to program for use with my Samsung dvd player.
