    NetGear R6080 AC1000 Dual-Band Wireless AC Router Speed Delivers

    The NetGear R6080 AC1000 Dual-Band Wireless AC Router was a great fit for our needs. We have a medium size house and the signal is great within the entire house. Also the price was perfect and the router speed delivers. Our last router gave wireless speeds around 30 mbps and from our provider we are supposed to have 100 mbps with this router we are 92 mbps with wireless and 98 mbps with hardwired. I do plan to increase our speed from our provider soon and I am confident that the speeds will be comparable.

    I bought it because I wanted to save money every month on my isp, but this isn't a WiFi router instead is a WiFi booster, signal has improved a lot. Twu bands booster.

    I had to flash the firmware over etherne...

    I had to flash the firmware over ethernet when I bought mine used on e-bay. There are some quirks to the software--many settings will get locked in if you use it in Access Point Mode. It's best to set everything up in normal router mode first, even if you want to then use APM. The hardware has been as reliable as all my past Netgear routers.

    Great home wifi router.

    It's very good for relatively slow home cable use. I think it will be fine for at least 3 years when cable speeds will start climbing up to 300 or more BPS.
