Thirty years after the original Space Invaders marched into video game history, an exclusive remake hopes to conquer both the PSP and Nintendo DS. While the goal once again is to eliminate all hostile Invaders in a series of fixed-screen shooting stages, new twists have been added to the familiar play mechanics. Boss battles, Invaders with distinct abilities, a techno soundtrack, and revamped visuals are but a few of the changes to the classic coin-op. A special tribute to the iconic 1978 Space Invaders.
If you remember Galaxian and liked it you will enjoy this although its a great remake of the old space invaders arcade blaster on its own, now with real emphasis on the word "blaster". The electro trance music adds to the tempo of the game as it is somewhat interactive. You'll find the rhythm of the beats (sound when you destroy a 'invader') goes will the flow of the gameplay and stage music. Every level has its own theme and the beat notes also vary on each level. Those who Know the SEGA game REZ will find the sound effects similar, not as complexe but still great. So get ready to being addicted to accuracy, speed and catchy sound effects. This games creates is own unique soul.

great game for all ages!!
This game is very close to the original space invaders. It has added few different bonus levels to it. Lot of fun to play. I play it along with my 7yr old son. The controls are very easy to use which make it a great game for all age levels.

Awesome game
I loved space invaders in those past years... I think this 1 is awesome. The kids love it too. The beginning levels are easy enough for them to play, yet gets challenging enough for me to not put it down. Just when you think it's over, new extreme stuff comes along. Great Family game!

30 Years of Greatness
It makes me feel old to know that Space Invaders has been around for 30 years, I was 16 when it came out, but the new version for the DS was a great update to a classic game.
