A well made unit with 0 to 12 hours to choose from. Down side small numbers and no LED showing ON.
The Pro is that it is a Well made unit and functions as designed. It is also a 12 hour count down timer. I will keep them for charging my battery tools and radios to prevent overcharging. I just bought 4 more but of a different design than this for 2 reasons. 1. The Numbers on this one are very small as is the ZERO or End Line. I need to un plug it and look close to set it. 2. There is no Pilot Light or LED to tell you it is in the ON Position. I must look close to see if it is off later. The reason I picked a different version is that it had LED Lights that showed it was ON and you selected one of the pre programmed times like 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. IT looks Bigger than the other one. The other one had a much finer offering of between 0 and 12 hours and that was a plus. I am happy ... The Pro is that it is a Well made unit and functions as designed. Great "On-the-fly" Timer
24-hour timers are a bother. Countdown timers are simple and straightforward. not automatic in that they need to be re-set every time you use them but that is their beauty: on the fly. I'll give an idea of my application having purchased two: Timer one is used when I am roasting a turkey, etc. and the like and I want to prepare, set the timer and then go to bed. (I use a free-standing roaster instead my oven, so there is no timer.) I have awakened to the wonderful aroma of a thoroughly roasted, but not dried out turkey. Excellent! Timer two is used with my 500 watt stereo receiver. Before going to sleep, I play one side of an LP with soothing music. This puts me right out, but have periodically awakened after 8 hours to find that my watt-hog receiver had been on all night. Now I set the ... 24-hour timers are a bother. Handy countdown timer switch.
Very easy to use. I use it to limit the time chargers are on my electric golf carts as the chargers sometimes don't always cut back on their own and cook the batteries. I plan to buy more of these countdown timers!!!

I wanted a countdown timer for the space heater in my basement office so if I forget to turn it off the timer will do it. I first tried a digital countdown timer and that one actually never shut off, even when the time ran out. Returned the digital one and then I saw this old-school analog timer. It's foolproof! Works like a charm, looks great, inexpensive, reliable, easy to use--everything I wanted. It's rated for 15 amps/1875 watts. My Presto Heat Dish from Costco draws 8 amps/1000 watts, so perfect! This little $10 timer saved me from having to sell my house and move to Florida.
