  • I Love a Good Intrigue!

This is an excellent book. Very informative and gives an wonderful peak into the life of N.C., his family and friends. I purchased it to do some research on a painting I found in the basement of an old house in which I grew up back in the 1970's. Found some interesting connections to people that I knew during my childhood in Greenville, DE. One of his friends who was interviewed for this book, interestingly enough, was the same person who I used to visit, in the summers of my youth, to go swimming in their pool. Who would have known that I grew up around friends of N.C.! I am still researching the painting, which was painted by someone named "M. Pyle." I believe this person may have been a student at an art school in Wilmington, DE (You'll understand why if you read the book.) I can only assume this right now as I am still trying to trace its origins, but it is a graded piece, thus leading me to believe that this person was student of art. The search continues!

  • A must read before reading any other biography of the family

One of the most in-depth biographies I have ever read. Because of the personal letters that were preserved we are able to "live" the life of N.C. Wyeth.

  • Good Read!

Studied this topic in High in High School as required study. Along with Somerset Maugham I'd rate this biography as one of the best.
