      Does what it claims so far.

      After being fitted to the caravan for a week, no water has penetrated from the roof area, although there was a leak beforehand. Will have to see how it goes in the next few months. Easy to fit - took two of us about ten minutes. It allows an amazing amount of light through the rood lights in the caravan whic is a good surprise. My one slight criticism is that I could not open the caravan door as the bottom of the cover came over the top of the door. With some judicious use of tape it is loose enough to be adapted to allow the door to open.

      Design flaws which spoil a good cover.

      These Maypole covers do the job but have several design flaws. There are not enough tie downs at the front or back. So once you’ve fitted it the cover flaps about . There needs to be at least 3 tie downs front and back not just 2 as you’re left with a large are in the middle that flaps about because you can’t tie it down . Plus the tie down straps are not all the same length which is a stupid idea as you don’t know where is the best anchor point till you fit the cover. If they used all the same length long straps this wouldn’t be an issue. Yes the cover protects the caravan roof but not for long if the wind gets hold of it. Oh they cover themselves by saying not to be used in windy locations. But if you’re putting a cover on it’s normally because your caravan is outside where there’s a ...

      Well made but flimsy

      If this cover lasts the winter maybe I will change my view, but I think the material looks too light for the purpose. Also there should be a central strap on the rear to ensure any winds do not lift & tear it. It is also over priced for what it is, a light weight cover possibly for summer use.
